Lead dust wipe laboratory analysis

Our accurate and simple lead dust wipe service is designed for residential clients and individuals.

Dust wipe sampling is critical for establishing the actual risk from lead paint and road pollution in your home. Highly leaded paint that has been over-coated and is in good condition may release very little dust. However, as lead particulate can evade normal cleaning, there is always the possibility that previous renovations have released dust into your home. Dust wipe analysis is the best way to check. 

Special dissolvable wipes must be used to collect dust samples for analysis. You will receive the required wipe and a sample pouch by post upon ordering. Each wipe is designed to sample an area of around 1 square foot. Typically we advise sampling two areas of flooring in each room (high traffic and low traffic) as well as any dust traps that evade regular cleaning, particularly on surfaces suspected to contain lead paint.
